Caan Berry Video Pack Review 2018
Is Caan Berry’s video pack worth the money?
October 2018 Updated: The course has now been reduced from £167 to £147 and improved with extra content!
I get asked this a lot. It’s actually one of the few sports trading courses that I bought when I started. At the time, it was a massive help. This is the video pack I’m talking about. If you’re not prepared to really put the effort in and study the lessons, don’t bother with it. I only write reviews about things that I’ve bought myself and that have been a genuine help throughout my trading journey.
I have no problems encouraging other traders to buy this as I’m sure they will learn a lot from it, so long as they study it carefully.
Here’s Caan explaining the course on YouTube
Of course, you don’t need to buy anything when learning how to trade but sometimes it can really help. It certainly helped me but ONLY because I studied the videos inside out and took action on all of the tips he gave.
Who is Caan Berry?
I stumbled across Caan in my first few weeks of trading. I was searching YouTube and found tonnes of free videos that he had uploaded, explaining multiple aspects of pre-race trading.
For those of you who aren’t familiar with him, he’s a sports trader who mainly focuses on pre-race horses and Tennis. Caan’s background is a military one, spending 7 years in the British Army and often stationed abroad. In his off time, he stumbled across Sports Trading and started learning the ropes with the end goal of earning a small side income from it. Fast-forward a year or two and Caan left the Army to trade sport full-time.
To diarise his trading journey, he started a blog at Caanberry.com. This blog has helped countless new traders learn the ropes and has been a great inspiration to many others. If you look back far enough, you can see his posts from when he just still starting out. It’s great to see the progress he has made over the years and is especially helpful for new traders to see what is possible.
What do you get?
Upon payment, you will receive an email with login details to a private website that hosts the video pack. All the videos streamable .mp4 files which means you can watch them from anywhere. I’ve included the table of contents below. There are usually between 2-12 videos in each chapter which amounts to 96 videos. Caan does update the video pack regularly so there may be more by the time you sign up.
Video Pack Topics (Each topic contains 2-12 videos):
- Introduction
- Mentality of a trader
- Market Dynamics and situations
- Execution
- Scalp Trades
- Swing Trades
- Mixed Styles
- Manipulation
- Genuine Money
- Bigger Meetings
- Greyhounds
- Backing to Lay
- Irish Racing
- Jumps Racing
- Loss Limitation
- Tipsters
- Spoofer
- Drifters
- Change Equals Opportunity
- Volatile Situations
- Morning Routine
Arguably one of the best features of the product is that Caan is available to answer your questions via email if you struggling to understand something. I used this myself and he was very quick to respond.
This is not a get rich quick system
There are plenty of “set and forget” systems online that promise evergreen profits for a cost of £xxx with little input. Honestly, I’ve been there before and they are a waste of your time. Like all things in life, the hardest things are the most rewarding. Caan teaches the principles of successful trading on Betfair. But at the end of the day, it’s you who makes the trades.
How does it compare to other trading guides?
As far as I’m aware, there aren’t many other paid sports trading courses that are presented in a video format. There are one or two out there but they are either more expensive, not as high quality, or both.
Most others are eBooks or in-person workshops. In that respect, Caan’s video pack is unique and incomparable to others out there. Personally, I learn best through a mixture of watching and practicing myself. For those of you who prefer to learn by reading a book, this is obviously not for you.
Downsides
Too many people buy courses like this and expect to be professional traders within a week. This will not happen. You really have to study and take action on the advice in the videos.
I think a lot of people expect there to be some hidden secret that all pro Betfair traders know of. They also think that they’ll learn this exclusive trick by buying a video pack. There is no such secret trick or backhand deal that you will learn about in this course, mainly because it doesn’t exist. The videos focus more on practical trading and mindset tips/strategies that you can implement. There are no fast ways to make money in this business.
Traders who can’t trade, teach
Wrong. Having been in this position myself, I know all too well the problems of being a full-time gambler. Most sporting events don’t start until the afternoon and some days are not worth trading at all. This leaves a lot of time to spare (depending on your trading style) and what better way to spend it than helping others?
Of course, this is a paid product but you can’t blame him.
He’s put a lot of time into the free videos he’s given out on Youtube and even more time into his video pack. Another problem I’ve come across myself is that being a full-time gambler is not great in the eyes of mortgage companies and other credit agencies. Having a little bit of taxable income is a real help for professional traders and you can’t blame anyone for having business outside of Betfair.
There are however, a lot of rogues out there. I don’t like to name and shame but if you spend a little bit of time on Twitter, you’ll soon figure out who the crooks are.
Recent updates
I hate it when I hand over my hard-earned money to find a course is outdated. I can guarantee the horse racing markets will act very differently next year than they do now. Luckily since I bought the pack, there have been multiple new videos added that are all relevant to today’s market conditions.
Value for money?
At the time of writing, you can buy Caan Berry’s Video Pack for a price of £147 (was £167!) which is cheaper than any similar products out there. Having bought it myself, I can say that I’ve easily made that money back and much more from the techniques I learned.
Going to physical trading workshops are nice but you get plenty more hours for your money with a video pack like this. Especially considering that most trading workshops are upwards of £300, almost double the price of this course.
3rd party reviews
You really shouldn’t just take my word for it. Everyone is different and learns best in different ways. Some people prefer books whilst others like to learn by having a go themselves. I’ll leave the comments open below for readers who’d like to give their opinion.
Sports Trading Strategies
Caan Berry shows you exactly how he uses his sports trading strategies in the video pack. He teaches that it’s important to be aware of the type of market you are trading as not every strategy suits every race.
For example, there are videos demonstrating scalping on Betfair, but you would not use this strategy on an extremely volatile or trending market. The video pack includes strategies such as scalping, swing trading, a mix of the two and other tricks that are very race dependent.
Where to buy the pre-race video pack?
Click here to buy the video pack at a price of £147. If you buy this now, you will not be charged extra for updates to the pack.
Caan Berry regularly adds more videos to the private members area. You will be sent login details as soon as your payment is complete.
Final Words
Like I said at the start of the review, you do not need to buy any software, books or courses to learn how to trade. Sometimes, it just helps to speed things up. If you’re looking to trade the horse racing markets on Betfair, this pack is for you. If you prefer value betting on football, this won’t really help you. I’m more than happy to answer any questions you have, just leave a message in the comments section below.
Cheers,
Laurence
I too bought Caans pack and it helped me no end
The quality of information in the videos is brilliant and although I dont trade pre race that often its helped me to read the markets for other types of betting I do and gave me a great edge for that
Like laurence says it’s not a quick way to get rich but it will help you understand how the markets work and Caan is always there for advice, well that’s if he’s not out on the piss
Hi Laurence
Where would you go to find football trading course? I know peter does goal ratings etc but something a bit deeper, seems to be no equivalent course and I often get stuck, have questions but no caan berry to turn to! If you have come across any ideas, thanks

try nape on gooners guide forum , in play genius and free
I’m not too sure who’s offering football courses at the moment but Steve Howe may be doing them as I know he likes his footy. Worth having a search around. Let us know what you find!
Laurence
Purchased this pack and it’s just a collection of random videos that he has titled and categorised to look like a video course and ity doesn’t actually teach you anything.
After viewing the videos you are still left wondering what to do when you open up a befiar market.
You’re left with the feeling that he isn’t telling you everything and he isn’t. He’s making thousands per week and doesn’t tell you how he’s doing that.
He should be giving you the basics what to look for when you have a market open etc and taught you step by step what to do but it fails to do that.
Hi Jason,
It may be worth another look as I know he’s updated the course a few times recently.
My advice, besides that above is that there isn’t really any secret to it besides hard work, persistence, trial and error. I think most people over think trading and that’s their main downfall.
Courses like this can be helpful, even if you disagree with their trading style. Make notes on why you wouldn’t place a trade in the same way, or what trades you would take yourself and why.
After each category or even each video, open up the markets and watch them. Consider the lesson/theme of the lesson you’ve just watched and think about how you can apply it to the current market.
Hope this helps,
Laurence
Hi,
I know I’m an old cynic – but trust me, with age comes cynicism! 🙂 But all was going well with your review, until I discovered that you make a percentage of the Caan Berry course price as an affiliate!
I’ve been around the Internet long enough (since circa 1996 to be specific) to know that affiliate marketing is part of the Internet’s life-blood.
Still, may I thank you for your review and wish you well with it as another income stream. 🙂
I don’t expect you’ll post this comment and I wouldn’t blame you if you didn’t. I guess I’d just like to see a review for anything online that DOESN’T have an affiliate link! 🙂
All the best
George.
I appreciate your comment George!
Luckily there are still a few reviews out there that don’t have affiliate links, I Know Caan has done a fair amount, for example!
The reality is that these things take a long time to write and it would be silly not to get a kick out of any sales made from it.
If you (or me!) want to make good money from affiliate marketing in the sports trading world, there are much better affiliate payouts knocking around. The problem is, I wouldn’t touch those products with a barge pole.
If I’ve got time to write reviews, I’d rather help promote things that have genuinely helped me in my trading journey and not the countless “trading systems” and other crap that’s floating around. Those types pay good affiliate commission because that’s the only way they can sell it. Nobody would buy their products if they knew how bad they truly are!
See you around and thanks for the feedback 🙂
Laurence
I hear what you’re saying and I WANT to believe you, but as I said, I’m an old cynic! LOL
Tell you what, I’ll stick with the ‘guru’ I use and wish both Caan and yourself well with your trading. 🙂
As a Bet Angel user, can you expect any more? LOL
All the best in your future trading. 🙂
Keep up with the cynicism! There’s so much rubbish around this industry, it’s insane.
Have a google around and take a look at the “comments” in other review pages for similar products…. There’s one giveaway that what you are reading is a pile of crap!
Bet Angel is a great bit of kit btw!
Cheers
After watching most of his You Tube content and learning a lot, I rate Caan highly, he’s possibly the number one Betfair trader.
Hello Laurence thank you for this I have videos and is good value. But I want to ask – would you get Trading guide too? Caan is genuine guy but I like your opinion. Thankyou
